1. What CkretGuard provides

CkretGuard checks recognized text prompts locally on supported ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, DeepSeek, Grok, Meta AI, Microsoft Copilot, Perplexity, and Mistral websites. When it identifies possible secrets, it offers Send, Edit, and Mask, or Edit and Mask when that protection mode is selected.

Send uses the original draft. Edit returns to the draft without sending. Mask replaces detected values with xxxxxxxxxx and attempts to send the masked draft. The extension also provides custom field names, local activity totals, and local unmasked-send History.

2. Your responsibilities

Use CkretGuard only with information and accounts you are authorized to access. Follow applicable laws, your organization’s security rules, and the terms of the chat services you use. Review your prompts and the detected values before choosing an action. Do not use real credentials when testing or reporting a problem.

If a credential is shared, revoke or rotate it through its issuer. Masking later, deleting local History, or uninstalling CkretGuard does not recall messages already shared with a chat service.

3. Coverage and availability

CkretGuard can miss secrets or flag text that is not confidential. It does not verify that a credential is valid. Protection depends on supported website inputs and send controls; website changes, browser restrictions, other extensions, or account requirements may affect it. An activated send control does not confirm that a provider received a message.

Files, images, voice input, native applications, and existing chat conversations are outside its scanning coverage. Chat websites may read text in their pages before you send it. CkretGuard does not replace a secrets manager, credential rotation, organizational controls, or a security review.

4. Local data and History

The Privacy Policy explains data handling. When you choose Send with detected secrets left unmasked and the website’s send control is activated, the complete original prompt, including the secrets, is saved on this device for up to 90 days. CkretGuard does not encrypt that History. Delete entries you no longer need and protect access to your browser profile.

You can delete individual entries or clear History. Orenthic cannot recover deleted local data or remotely remove it from your device. Clearing History does not reset activity totals or delete messages at a chat provider.

5. Third-party services

Chat providers and Chrome operate under their own terms and privacy policies. Their availability, accounts, subscriptions, and data handling are outside Orenthic’s control. CkretGuard is an independent product and is not endorsed by or affiliated with the supported chat providers. Names and logos belong to their respective owners.

6. Ownership and permitted use

You keep your rights to your prompts and other content. Using CkretGuard does not transfer ownership of that content to Orenthic. CkretGuard’s name, branding, and original materials remain the property of their respective owners. Third-party components remain subject to their own licenses.

You may install and use CkretGuard for its stated purpose. Do not misrepresent affiliation with Orenthic or use the product to access another person’s information without permission.

7. Warranties and responsibility

To the extent permitted by applicable law, CkretGuard is provided as available, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation, complete detection, or prevention of every disclosure. Orenthic is not responsible for third-party services or information you choose to share.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights, remedies, or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. These terms do not reduce any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

8. Changes and ending use

Features and supported websites may change. We will update these terms and the date above when relevant conditions change. You can stop using CkretGuard at any time by disabling or uninstalling it. Review important changes before continuing to use the extension.
